Unadopted Land

Unadopted Land is a term for private land so someone other than the local council will own it. The term unadopted land is not correct, you would be better of saying private land. Adopted land is land that the council maintain, even if the land or road is adopted the council still do not own it they simply maintain it, this is unusual with land and is much more common with roads.
