Finding People for Councils

Finding People for councils is a market that FinderMonkey has been trying to become involved with for a long time, and at last FinderMonkey is now working for a small number of councils to locate people who owe the council money. It has not been an easy path as many councils have a negative impression of trace companies and consequently have brought their trace services in house.

Whilst putting a service together specifically for Councils we spoke to several people in various council departments around the country. They spoke about negative experiences with external trace companies, the main issues that they had were the council paying for incorrect information, consequently many councils stopped using external trace companies altogether.

This is in part due to some of the “old fashioned” trace companies taking advantage of the councils by providing a low level of service, the councils became wise to this and simply brought these services in house. We are now in the process of proving to councils that we can provide a quality cost effective service and are backing up this claim with the assurance of a 60 day invoice period for the council, so confident are we in our trace systems, procedures and experience, we are giving the councils the opportunity to clarify that the information is correct before they pay for it. We feel that this guarantees our commitment to the councils we are working for. It is a struggle to prove to anyone that you want to offer value for money but we hope that our actions will ultimately speak louder than our words.
